Reader Feature: An Afternoon in Paris Bridal Shower with the H2O Bar!

Time for another Reader Feature:

Remember my cousin Bethany I told you about before?  Well she has 2 younger sisters, Julie and Courtney, who are just as awesome as she is:

They were so excited about their baby sister, Courtney. (Especially Bethany:)  ) 

Jul and Beth, cutest bunny and lion ever, huh?

 Well anyway...a couple weeks ago, Julie and her mom, my Aunt Derry, threw Bethany the most fabulous bridal shower. 

The theme: An Afternoon in Paris.

Doesn't it sound divine?

Every little detail down to the eyelashes on some of the poodle cookies was so Parisian, and girlie, and perfect...

See the eyelashes on the white poodle on the bottom right? Too cute!

Well... let me tell you we were so flattered to hear thatone of the features of this party was our H2O bar from our Sips Launch Party!

Too fun huh? 

Love their additions of mint and berries!

Reader Feature: Recap and a Green Smoothie!

A couple of weeks ago we posted an announcement that we're introducing a new column: Reader Feature!

It all started when my parents sent me a picture of the Skinny Pina Colada that they made from Sip Your Way Skinny Month. After posting that, I learned that the reason they made that was to have a special "Beach Night" to help fight the winter blues and pretend to be at their favorite restaurant in Florida, Jimmy's.

Like I said, cute huh?

And...it's exactly what's this blog is for!

So since that announcement, we received our first submission!

It's for the Green Smoothie post that we did,

and it's extra special because it's from my cousin, Bethany!

I'm going to be embarrassing and post a picture of us from when we little (and one from now):

Beth, love the gum.

And I must add that this is a bit flattering because she is probably one of the best cooks I know.

Seriously, anything she touches in the kitchen, turns to "gold" (or whatever the cooking equivalent would be).

Here's what she said she did:

"I used store brand 4 berry variety of frozen berries

Spinach leaves

Ice

Non-fat store brand vanilla yogurt.

tip: I bought a huge tub of the yogurt because it was only $2.00, so it's definitely cheaper "

She said it was "great!"

Reader Feature!

So a few nights ago my parents sent me a text message.

It was this picture:

The Skinny Pina Colada that we posted during the Sip Your Way Skinny Series!

But, aren't they cute?

They said they made it with coconut soda instead of coconut water and it was great!
(which is a big deal because they are both fellow Pina Colada lovers)

But, I love that they were using the recipes

AND that they were making their own variations.

I told Kirst about it and it gave us an idea...

Whenever you guys make one of the recipes, take a picture (no need to be professional).

Then, send it to us (sipsetc@gmail.com) and we'll pick some to feature on the blog!

And be sure to let us know when you substitute ingredients or have some additions you found made it better.

We love hearing from you guys,

we aren't just asking those questions at the end of the blogs as a good wrap up...we really do want to know.
